go-iec61850-model

What it does

• Imports the official machine-readable namespace definitions (NSD, IEC 61850-7-7) and embeds a catalog of the 12 official namespaces, so lookups need no files.
• Edition-aware: several releases of a namespace side by side, explicit profiles, and an ambiguity error instead of a silent merge when two namespaces define the same name (IEC 61850-7-420 and IEC TR 61850-90-9 both define DBAT).
• Parses and validates references such as LD0/MMXU1.Hz.mag.f[MX] and resolves them down to their basic type, with functional constraints and presence conditions.
• Semantic hints (quantity, phase, unit) from explicit rules for MMXU, MMXN and MMTR, always marked as OT Fabric interpretation and never changing the normative model.
• Ontology helpers: a typed concept graph with traversal and JSON export.
• No MMS, GOOSE, Sampled Values or SCL runtime. It is the model layer; communication lives in go-iec61850 and go-mms.
• Includes nsdctl, the command-line tool for inspecting, validating, comparing and generating from NSD packages.

Standards

• IEC 61850 information model (information model): The standard semantics of IEC 61850: logical node classes, data objects, common data classes, data attributes and functional constraints, read from the official NSD files and usable without any transport.

• IEC 61850 / MMS: IEC 61850 client/server communication for substation automation: the abstract services mapped onto MMS (IEC 61850-8-1) on TCP port 102.
